Mahalo Card

After thinking about this card for 2 days, I finally got it made!  I made it for these 3 challenges:

Fantabulous Cricut-Challenge #61 Blue Skies-use the color blue and 1 cloud

My Creative Time-Use an "older" cartridge and the colors green and yellow

Scrappy Moms Stamps- Terrific Tuesday-use Life's A Beach

This a 5 1/4" square card.  I cut the chair at 2 1/2", umbrella at 2 3/4", sun at 2", and the cloud and beach ball each at 1".  I inked the edges of everything.  I used my Creative Memories decorative trimmer to cut the sand paper.  I pop dotted the cloud up.

You Rock Birthday Card

My son has a birthday party to attend tonight.  Boy cards are hard, but one for a 9 year old is even worse!  Since I had already made a "You Rock" card earlier, I decided to stick with that!  This card can also be used for Paper Playtime's You Rock Challenge.  I used Everyday Paper Dolls for the boy and guitar.  I tried to make the boy look like my son's friend.  To help with that, I inked his hair with Colorbox chalk ink.  I used Peachy Keen Stamps for the face.  The saying from Paper Trey Inc. and the ink is SU.  All my paper was scraps! 

Tag

This month at Paper Crafting Mania, we swapped tags instead of cards! The tag was to be summer themed. This is the tag that I made. I used CM paper. All images were cut with Everyday Paper Dolls and inked with Colorbox chalk ink. The "sand" was hand torn. The face is a Peachy Keen stamp and the sun is a sticker from CM. I cut the actual tag from Very Merry Tags.

Father's Day Cards

I wanted to share with you the cards that I made for my Father-In-Law and my Dad! The first one is for my FIL. He is the cook in the family and everyone always loves his chicken fried steak! I used my Everyday Paper Dolls to make both cards. I had a hard time with the hair, both my FIL and Dad are balding and there was not hair for that. So, my dolls have hair! I also tried to cut a spatula for his hand, but it was too small and wouldn't cut right. The best part about these cards is that I used all scraps! I cut both dolls at 3" and inked all the edges with Creamy Brown chalk ink from Colorbox. The face stamp is from Peachy Keen and the sentiment is and ink is CTMH. I couldn't think of a good sentiment, so I used my "you rock" stamp and crossed thru rock and hand wrote cook with a SU marker.

This one is for my Dad. He is a farmer in his retirement years! This was perfect because he loves to wear his overalls! This sentiment was cut from Old West. The background paper is October Afternoon.

Graduation Card

I know that this card looks almost just like the one I did for a NSD challenge, but I wanted to show this one to you. This is for a young man at my church who is the pitcher on the baseball team. I saw the baseball player on Everyday Paper Dolls and this idea immediately popped into my head! However, it was more challenging to make this than I thought. Here is what I did: I cut the regular body from page 28 at 3". Then I cut the profile head from the Accessories 1 button. I always try to make my dolls look like the person that they are going to, so I cut the hair from page 66. Everything else comes from page 46 (Graduation) or 51 (baseball player). When I went to assemble my doll, I cut the left side of the face off the base doll and attached the profile face to it. I didn't worry about the ear on the right side because of the hat. The hair had to be put on the doll crooked. Then I attached the hat. (That took several tries to get the hole on the right side and the bill lined up with the hair just right.) I then used my CM pen to draw the face on. (I just followed the cuts.) I attached the cleats for shoes and the gown and then the tassel and the doll was good. I used a red CM pen on the baseball and gently made lines on the cuts in the ball. (I didn't want it to look like a hard ink line.) I then inked the ball with Creamy Bown and the diploma with Charcoal. Both from Colorbox. I used Graphically Speaking to cut the 2010 and the best part of this card is that ALL my paper was scraps! NSD-My Pink Stamper Challenge #6

This challenge was to be about kids. Hopefully, this will count! It's for a big kid! I used left over graduation paper from Amanda's albums last year! I used Everyday Paper Dolls to make the graduate and diploma. I used Graphically Speaking for the year. The stamp was Peachy Keen and the ink is CTMH.
