Be Creative With Your Journaling

After being in Florida and coming home to snow, I decided I'd post some summer pictures! It has warmed up here this week thank goodness! I wanted to show this page because of the way that I did the journaling box. I took my nieces out of one picture and cut them down to fit the jb in between them. The gap in the picture was just almost big enough without me cutting the picture into. I'm sorry, I don't remember who made the patterned paper, but the title is a sticker from CM.

Swap Card

Over at Paper Crafting Mania, we did a card swap. We were to make an Easter card and then mail it to the person you were assigned so that they could use it for Easter. This is the one that I did. Since I am in Florida this week, I don't know if she recieved it or not, but since it was due on the 15th, I am assuming that she got it. This is not a card that I designed. As a matter of fact, this was one the card sketches that we used at the very first card class that I took almost a year ago. I just love this sketch, so when I get stuck, I use it! The printed paper is My Mind's Eye, the flowers are Prima (yellow) and Mulberry Street (green), the stamp is SU and the ink is CTMH. I used the CB folder D'Vine Swirls on the background.

Preplanned Layout

Do you remember my post about preplanning your layouts? This is one of the pages that I layed out when I did that post! This turned out to be a very simple page! I used a preprinted piece of CM paper for the background. I cut the title from Forever Young (also CM paper) then used a couple of flowers and pearls to make it look more girly! The journaling box (CM) is one that I have had for probably 5 years or more! It feels great to be able to use old stuff!

Birthday card

Here is a very simple card. This is a card that I did at a SU 4 for $5 class last month. Travis chose this card to give Amanda for her birthday. All the products are SU.

Happy Birthday Manda Panda!

Today is Amanda's 19th birthday! (OMGosh! Has it really been that long?) We are in Florida at Disney World, but this is her card. Anne, a lady from Paper Crafting Mania, was nice enough to send me some of the Panda cuts off the Pagoda cartridge. All the other cuts are from Sweet Treats. The green paper is K & Co. and the ink is Colorbox. I used the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder with the CB and Stickles on the fosting on the cupcake!

Here is the inside! I used the Mickey font and my Gypsy for this. The scalloped border punch is SU.

But I wasn't there....

How many pictures of things do you have that you were not there? I know, that makes it very hard to scrapbook when you weren't there to witness it. Amanda and Robert like to go to a camp called Dry Bones with our church. You hike up a mountain for 4 days, carrying everything you need on your back and then you spend 3 days on the streets of Denver with homeless teenagers, which is really not my thing. However, I thought that it was important to put it into the family album, so I had Amanda pick out the pictures that she wanted in the album and then she did the write up and I just printed it out.

Layout Challenge

This is another challenge that I am over a week behind on! I actually had this one done, just did not post it until now! The challenge was to use pattern paper and black, red or white. Since Amanda's high school colors are red and black, I always have pictures that I can use those colors with! This page is different for me because it does not have a journaling box. I think that the title is self explanatory. I put all the details of the mum in her album, so I really just needed the pictures! The patterned paper is Creative Imaginations, the card stock is the Paper Studio, the title was cut using Don Juan and my Gypsy!

15 Minute Card

Last week the color challenge over at Paper Crafting Mania was to make a card in 15 minutes. I've had a lot going on, but I really wanted to see if I could get a card done in 15 minutes! So, I'm a week late, but here it is! The patterned paper is DCWV, not sure on the card stock, the stamp and ink are SU! The tags are cut with Storybook.
