Birthday Card

I finally made another card!  This one is for my brother's birthday next week.  This is just a standard A2 sized card.  I cut the boot at 3".  I inked the edges of all the pieces with Chestnut Roan and used my CM brown pen to connect the cuts to get the pattern on the boots.  I really wanted this card to have the sentiment "Kick Up Your Heels."  I looked for over a week at stores and on line.  I never did find a stamp set with that sentiment, so I just made it myself!  I have NEVER done that before!  It's not great, but it's for my brother and he won't care!

MPS Challenge 9

Challenge #9-use glitz, glam, and glitter!  My picture is not very good, but the green (My Mind's Eye) paper and the white (DCWV) are glittery.  I used Sweet Treats for the cuts.  I used a texture plate from SU to give the cone some depth.  The stamp is Scrappy Mom's.

MPS Challenge 8

Challenge #8 was to be a summer themed project.  I made this card using My Mind's Eye paper, with CM cardstock.  I used Accent Essentials to cut the flower.  The stamp is Scrappy Mom's.

MPS Challenge 3

Challenge #3 was to have a breast cancer theme.  After discovering that none of my cartridges or stamp sets have the ribbon on them, I improvised!  I cut hope from Home Decor.  The printed paper is My Mind's Eye and the cs is CM.  The frame is cut using SU's Top Note die.

Anniversary Card

My parents have an anniversary coming up. Luckily, I remembered that this is their 45th! I made the card and then I needed flowers (or something) to go on the left side. After looking for a week and many different stores, I finally took white flowers and colored them with my own ink! I think that it turned out well! As a matter of fact, I'm going to buy more of the white flowers so I can color my own more often! The cardstock is SU and the printed paper is My Mind's Eye. The Happy Anniversary is CTMH and the numbers are from a set that my friend Sharon has. The flowers are colored with Colorbox and SU ink. I used Spellbinders to cut the scalloped shape.

Color Challenge Card

My mojo is back! I tried several time to make a card yesterday and each time I found myself just staring at my stuff and nothing was clicking. Today, I whipped up this card for the Paper Crafting Mania's Tuesday color challenge in no time! The colors were hot pink, bright yellow and orange. I just happened to have a printed paper from My Mind's Eye that worked well, but I also used SU's summer sun and the pink is CM. The orange brad is from Spare Parts. The stamp is SU and the ink is CTMH.

Hubby's Birthday Card

My hubby's birthday was earlier in the week and I wanted to show this card that I made for him. I tried something different and did the faux stitching! I've never done that before, but it was a snap with my SU paper piercing guide and tools! Then I "stitched" it with my CM brown pen. I really like the way that it turned out! I also used my CTMH distressing tool on the edges of the My Mind's Eye patterned paper. The colors on the stamped image did not match as well as I'd hoped, but they are CTMH stamps with SU ink.

Layouts with Lots of Pictures 4

I went over to Sharon's and scrapbooked yesterday. This is one of the pages that I did. Once again, I used a lot of pictures for just a single page layout. The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye, the title was cut with Gypsy Font and welded together. I don't know where the cardstock came from. I will add a journaling box in the lower right hand corner.

NSD-My Pink Stamper Challenge #7

This challenge was do something for the man in your life. Since Robert's birthday is Tuesday and I had not made his card from the kids, I chose to get this task done! I used Storybook for the frame and Alphalicious for the Dad. The ribbon is Martha Stewart. The cardstock is all the Paper Studio. I think the pattern paper is My Mind's Eye (it came from my scraps!)

Mother's Day Card

I made this card for My Pink Stamper's Challenge #1. It was harder than it looked! It took way too long to be as simple as it is, but such is life....The pattern paper is My Mind's Eye, the yellow cs is CM and I don't know where the other came from. The ink and stamp is SU. The flower was cut using Sweet Treats and the label was from Storybook.

Swap card

Here is the card that I did for Paper Crafting Mania's May swap. I got the idea from my Go to Sketches by PaperCrafts. The watermelon pulls out of the slot. I thought it was different, so I'd try it! The green paper and striped paper is My Mind's Eye, the pink is DCWV. I used accents from my sticker letters for the seeds! The stamp is CTMH. The pink ink is SU and the green is Studio G. The purple brads are Spare Parts.

Sarah's Birthday Card

I made this card for my niece using Sweet Treats. I also used my Gypsy. The layers did not cut right. I have a hard time using my Gypsy when I need to layer something. I used Stickles on the flame to add some sparkle and a rhinestone to dot the "i" for some bling. I really wasn't very happy with this card, but thought I'd show it to you anyway. The green glitter paper is My Mind's Eye, the yellow cardstock is CM and I don't know about the others.

Frog Birthday Card

I promise that I am going to get out of my after vacation funk and start doing better! I did make this card last week, but then I never posted it! At least I remembered to take a picture of it! LOL! I made this card for one of my SIL. She loves frogs! The glitter paper is My Mind's Eye, the cardstock, ink and stamp are SU and the stickers are Marcella by K.

Swap Card

Over at Paper Crafting Mania, we did a card swap. We were to make an Easter card and then mail it to the person you were assigned so that they could use it for Easter. This is the one that I did. Since I am in Florida this week, I don't know if she recieved it or not, but since it was due on the 15th, I am assuming that she got it. This is not a card that I designed. As a matter of fact, this was one the card sketches that we used at the very first card class that I took almost a year ago. I just love this sketch, so when I get stuck, I use it! The printed paper is My Mind's Eye, the flowers are Prima (yellow) and Mulberry Street (green), the stamp is SU and the ink is CTMH. I used the CB folder D'Vine Swirls on the background.

Card Sketch

It is my week to do the card challenge over at FCTSC. I also did the color challenge this week, so I jsut combined the two! The printed paper is My Mind's Eye, the solid is SU, and the stamp and ink are CTMH. The scalloped border punch is also SU.
