Color Challenge

I volunteered to do the color challenge at Paper Crafting Mania this week. The colors are blues and greens with one accent color. I used Nautical blue and Mediterrean blue with Honeydew for the green. All of my papers are CM. I made this card as a get well card for our preacher. He always wears the brightest colors, so when we made the shirt on Saturday, I knew that I had to find a bright print and make him a card! The sentiment is CTMH and the ink is SU. I ran the Honeydew square thru the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dot folder. The buttons are brads from Spare Parts.

50th Birthday Card

I have another card for today. This one is for my BIL's 50th birthday party which is tonight! I've had the idea in my head, just hadn't done yet! The red paper is CM and I ran it thru my Cuttlebug using the Happy Birthday folder. I cut the "The Big Day" from Beyond Birthdays and then trimmed the "day" off. I also cut a shadow for it in a grayish paper from CM. The 5 and 0 came from Sweet Treats. The glitter paper for the flame is DCWV. The black cardstock is from the Paper Studio.

I took a picture of the inside of the card also. The stamp and ink is from SU. I took a small strip of the red from my scraps box and ran it thru the Cuttlebug also just to give it some more texture! (I had already written in it when I took the picture. That's why you can see another piece of white paper laid over the first!)

NSD-My Pink Stamper Challenge #9

I'm back at it today! I only got 5 of the 10 challenges done yesterday and there were a few more that I wanted to do! This challenge was to make a "shape." I cut this card with Hello Kitty Greetings. All the paper is CM and the stamp is CTMH, the ink is SU. I used my Cuttlebug to give the flower some dimension.

Swap Card

Over at Paper Crafting Mania, we did a card swap. We were to make an Easter card and then mail it to the person you were assigned so that they could use it for Easter. This is the one that I did. Since I am in Florida this week, I don't know if she recieved it or not, but since it was due on the 15th, I am assuming that she got it. This is not a card that I designed. As a matter of fact, this was one the card sketches that we used at the very first card class that I took almost a year ago. I just love this sketch, so when I get stuck, I use it! The printed paper is My Mind's Eye, the flowers are Prima (yellow) and Mulberry Street (green), the stamp is SU and the ink is CTMH. I used the CB folder D'Vine Swirls on the background.

Happy Birthday Manda Panda!

Today is Amanda's 19th birthday! (OMGosh! Has it really been that long?) We are in Florida at Disney World, but this is her card. Anne, a lady from Paper Crafting Mania, was nice enough to send me some of the Panda cuts off the Pagoda cartridge. All the other cuts are from Sweet Treats. The green paper is K & Co. and the ink is Colorbox. I used the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder with the CB and Stickles on the fosting on the cupcake!

Here is the inside! I used the Mickey font and my Gypsy for this. The scalloped border punch is SU.

Color Challenge Layout

I did the Tuesday Color Challenge over on FCTSC this week. I had done this layout the week before and thought that the blue, red, and white would be good colors to use! I used Winter Woodland to cut the title with Co'ordinations whitewash cardstock then I embossed it using the Snowflakes Cuttlebug folder, then I sanded it so you could see the blue through the white. The background is Bazzill Dotted Swiss paper and the red is cranberry from CM. The snowman is from Doodlecharms. And no, this was not last week, these pictures are from 2007!
