Cowgirl Up Page!

It's the last day of January; time to see how you are doing with your goal that you set! My goal is 200 pages this year, which means that I have to do 16.66 pages a month. For the month of January I did....(drumroll).....29! That means I'm ahead! WOO HOO! (I'm sure that it won't stay that way, but at least I started out strong!) If you did not set yourself a goal, it's not too late!

Here is a page that I did a few weeks ago. It is my daughter and niece working with Amanda's horse, Penny. I used paper from Creative Imaginations and CM. I also used hemp for the rope. I didn't have a journaling box that I thought would work, so I made one! I just used cardstock and then matted it. The title is cut from Old West.

The border on the page is cut from a sheet like below. I just cut the strip that I wanted for the border and then I have the rest of the page to use else where!

Pink & Black Card

I went to a Stampin' Up 4 for $5 class last week and we made this card. I'm not a big fan of pink and black, but I think that this is one of the prettiest cards we have made at those classes! I just LOVE this card! (Keep in mind, all I did was put it together and stamp it. I had nothing to do with the designing of it!) All products are SU!

Thanks card

I made this card last night (tried to post it, but internet was being ugly!) for a very nice man who lives in Alabama that found my daughter's driver's license at the Memphis Airport and returned it to her this week! She was VERY glad not to have to pay for another one!
This is one of those cards that I had the idea in my head, but I could not get it to work on the card. I haven't used buttons very much and this is the first time I have used this twine on a card. This was as close to my idea as I could get! All the paper came from my scraps box. The stamp and ink are SU.

Scrap Your Stash!

This is phrase is frequently used in the crafting world; especially on the message boards. Basically, it means use what you have. The other day, as I was planning this page, I thought "you know, I can cut this title with my Cricut, but I have some sticker letters that are the perfect color!" So, I used them! In the past, sticker letters were the only thing we had to use for titles, so like many of you, I have TONS! So, get yours out and use them every once in a while!

It is pouring rain here today, so I thought this bright and colorful page would be good for today's post! The background paper is DCWV. The raspberry paper, sticker letters, and journaling box are all CM.

Color Challenge

I made this card for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at Paper Crafting Mania. Y'all should join in! The more the merrier! I just got my Don Juan cartridge that I bought using my points! Yay! I couldn't wait to use it! The sentiment is Don Juan, the brown and pink paper are SU and the ink in SU, the yellow paper is CM and the stamp is CTMH! The brad is K & Co.

Valentine's Page

I am back to posting pages again! This is a page that I made for Valentine's 2007. I adapted an idea that I saw in a magazine. I used the Gypsy and Storybook to cut the scalloped piece. I also used a two-sided piece of paper for the reds. I cut the center out of the sheet and put it on top of the scalloped rectangle. This is a good way to save paper and make your pages less bulky! The red paper is Bo Bunny. Be Mine was cut with the Pooh font using CM paper. The journaling box is also CM.

Color Challenge

Here is the card that made for the color challenge on Paper Crafting Mania. The colors were red, black, and one pattern paper. I made this card for a friend of Amanda's that is away at college. Amanda said that she had a really bad week, so we are trying to cheer her up! The solid paper is CM, the pattern paper is Reminisce. The stamp and ink is SU.
